I’m Qiqi You, a painter born in 2000 in Jiangyin, China, now based in Shanghai. I graduated with honors from Pratt Institute in New York in 2024, where I focused on figurative and expressionist oil painting.

My work comes from close observation of everyday life. I use delicate brushwork and emotional color to capture poetic moments hidden in the ordinary. I blend realistic images with symbolic elements to explore memory, emotion, and personal existence.

For me, art is about the act of truly seeing. By reinterpreting still lifes, people, and scenes, I reveal the emotional weight in overlooked details. When color and brushstroke carry feeling, my paintings become bridges connecting different souls.
